The European Floral Design course focuses on creating bold, vibrant arrangements with rich colour and diverse flower varieties, emphasising large, symmetrical designs that highlight the beauty of massed flowers. The course concludes with an examination, and requires prior knowledge of basic floral arrangement.
Core Areas of Focus:
- European Design Principles – History, Proportion, Focal Point etc.
- Flower & Colour Selection – Flower Forms, Colour Harmony, Texture etc.
- Arrangement Techniques – Symmetrical, Asymmetrical, Radial, Line Arrangements etc.
- Proportions & Focus – Growth Centres, Horizontal, Diagonal, Vertical etc.
- Specialised Designs – Bridal Bouquets, Wreaths, Parallel & Trendy Arrangements etc.
At the end of each class, you will have the option to take home the floral arrangement you have created.

About the course
Assessment: To be attended after 100% completion of the course. You will have 4 hours to design and create 3 floral pieces according to the requirements.
Certification: Upon successful completion, you will receive the following:
- Letter of Certificate
- Course Transcript
- Certificate of Completion
*Certificate of Achievement will be awarded by NSFD upon achieving at least a “pass” in the exam.
*A 're-test' fee of $200 for materials will be charged for each design requiring an exam retake.
Our classes are 1-to-1, offering personalised guidance. You can schedule your preferred timeslots, with the requirement to complete all sessions within 3 months. For those wishing to accelerate their learning, the course can be completed in as little as 1 month.
There are a total of 25 classes, with each session lasting up to 4 hours.

A minimum of 1 year of floristry experience, subject to the school review through a trial class to assess your understanding. Alternatively, completion of our in-house Basic Floral Design Course is required.
